cobra
The cobra group is a bit of a perfectionist group. These students are hard, serious, and nearly all roped into the game. Cobra's are the top team and they don't like to be shown up by anyone. There's no room for foolishness or error in this group. They function the most like a small army.
panther
Though the panther team isn't quite as focused as the cobras, they demand just as much respect. They find the balance between focus and fun and stay there. Panther students aren't usually convinced wholly. These kids are just in for the game. It's something for them to do and be good at. When it comes down to it--- the panthers really just want to be number one. They don't care about the army structure.
pheonix
The phoenix team is one of the more lax groups. Phoenix is known for their cleverness and strategy. They have a tendency to think TOO logically and often fall behind because of it. Phoenix is by far not the popular crowd giving that most of them tend to be smartasses and completely vain about their knowledge of the game.
raven
Raven is a mellow mix of cobra and phoenix. They're not really concentrated on winning, but they are super smart. Even though Raven is a smart group, they don't utilize it the way their commanders would like them to. This group isn't necessarily a fan favorite of the staff because of their lackadaisical attitude toward the army focus of the battleschool.
scorpion
Scorpion is a group full of hot-heads. These kids are angry and aggressive and they tend to take it out on everyone else. Scorpions usually travel together. They're a tight group and it's very difficult to break into them. They have the hard personalities that the commanders are looking for, but they lack the strategic skill set of soldiers.
salamander
Salamander is essentially the reject group. Anyone who wasn't wanted by any of the other teams was tossed into this pile of disappointments. This group is given the most crap by the staff because they essentially don't give a damn about anything. They don't care about winning and they don't care about being soldiers. Most of these kids are just here because they have to be.
staff
Most staff members are exact replicas of what they want the students to become. Some of them are harsh and logical while others may not agree so much with the ideals of the new Griffin Island.
