i just wanna run talking I'm repeating Myself, my words lost all meaning
Benny Boo. Was this girl serious? Did she really think the best way to get him to be okay with her was to give him a nickname he hated? Ben figured he had been lucky that the librarian had come in when he did. Despite the fact that Ben wasn't the kind of hot-head who would explode on people-- he didn't have much patience for ignorance. Still, Ben would have to put that aside since he agreed to meet the girl and Mason for an outing. Where was his head?
Ben stood in front of his closet, wanting to change clothes before he met the other two. Biting his lower lip, Ben pulled a shirt out. Too classy. The shirt was put back into the closet and another shirt pulled out. Too Hawaiian. Ben sighed, thumbing through some of his other shirts. Nothing said casual wear. Too pink. Too tight. Too "I wanna get in your pants." Finally, Ben happened upon a shirt that was perfect for the outing. The shirt was a plain white button-up shirt. After pulling his old t-shirt off and tossing it on his bed, Ben pulled the button-up on and slowly buttoned it up. He admired the way the shirt fit around him as he rolled the sleeves up revealing half the caricature piano tattoo on his left arm.
Much the same scenario took place as Ben looked through his pants. Eventually he sided with a pair of black pants. They were on the dressy side, but Ben didn't think they were more dressy than his shirt. Picking out clothes was one of the things that made Ben look like a complete chick. Of course, Benjamin Beckett totally looked over this fact. Once fully dressed, Ben looked around the barracks and sighed. Thankfully no one was in there. He had thought he'd get used to changing in front of people as long as he had been at the school, but it was still something that got to him. Ben raised an eyebrow at his reflection in the mirror and drew in a deep, relaxed breath.
Ben took even strides toward the door of the Panther Barracks and exited, saying, "Well, time to do this thing." It didn't take long for Benjamin to get to Club G. Benjamin marveled at the idiocy of his going down there so soon. He only had seen small pictures of what the other two looked like. Mason was the only on Ben knew in person. He waited in line to enter the club, his arms crossed. Ben nodded to a couple of other Panthers he had seen in the line, but stayed to himself. In front of Ben, two girls chattered away about some guy they had seen the night before. They seemed to hope that the guy would be in there again. Ben couldn't help but roll his eyes at them. How desperate. Instead of interrupting their conversation, Ben glanced around, looking for any sign of the two people he was supposed to meet there.
This was bound to be an interesting night. Ben was positive that he was making some form of a mistake. Mistakes in the life of Benjamin Beckett were many. He knew the sight of one when he made it. It had been a long time since Ben had gone out to enjoy any form of a nightlife. Ben frowned as thoughts on his past attempted to creep up on him. He quickly waved them off. Thinking about the past at a moment like this would be more than a mistake.

Mason checked his phone seeing that he had no new messages or calls. He bit his lip and put his finger on the power butting holding it til the options of shutting off restarting or turning on airplane mode came on. Hitting shut down set his phone down beside his bed. He had been an idiot for letting him make him come here. He knew no one and his job wasnt even something he would have chosen for himself. Its not that he was repelled by the library or that he was one of those people that thought books were evil and should never be seen or touched, it was just.. he never saw himself as a librarian. He would much rather be in a more social job. His boyfriend didnt think so and instead made him come with him and made it so he could slip in without questions as the librarian. Mason was certain it was so he could keep an eye on him and also a place that he didnt think Mason could do much socializing in. Mason thought if he really wanted to keep an eye on him then maybe he shouldnt keep running off with any pretty skirt that flirted with him. Mason had told him it didnt matter how many times he had to go have sex with a girl to try and reclaim his heterosexuality, at the end of the day he was still going to be dating a male.
Honestly Mason didnt see the problem with him admitting he was bisexual. The majority of the population now a days seemed like they were at least bisexual. Oh well. Other then the fact that he really didnt like to be cheated and lied to, it gave him the opportunity to go out and make friends. Something his boyfriend always got in the way of when he was around. Tonight would be fun, he just knew it. The two on the chat were entertaining though he hoped it would all be fun and games and not get heated by some things that Mason noticed seemed to not go well between the two.
Mason finished off his cigarette, putting it out in the sand things provided for cigarette butts and then headed back inside to his quarters. Mason thought about how he would much rather be in school right now, but his boyfriend hadnt liked the idea of mason succeeding... or maybe it was being surrounded by people of his 'type', or so his boyfriend liked to refer to them as. Mason really wanted to just hit the narrow mindedness out of him.
After brushing his teeth and making sure to rinse with mouth wash he deodorized and even made sure to spritz some stuff in his hair. Mason really had a nasty smoking habit but he didnt like smelling like a giant cigarette. It was definitely a draw back and a big one, but he just couldnt seem to quit. He had to sneak them because his boyfriend didnt like it either then again at the same time he sometimes allowed it because he didnt like mason acting like he was gay and apparently smoking held some kind of a manly draw to it. Mason didnt care as long as he was allowed to smoke. His boyfriend had him pulling his hair out far too often that being able to smoke would be keeping him from going bald and honestly.. mason didnt think bald was a very good look on him.
Mason was a fashion guy. He liked to dress nice even if sometimes people didnt understand his choice of clothes. To him fashion wasnt about conforming to others styles but it was making your own and standing out but not feeling like you need to be obvious or overly unique in a gaudy way. Mason thought his ideas could be out there at times, but at the same time had just the right kick to it. Tonight he didnt feel like dressing up too much, he didnt want to make it seem like he was trying too hard, although mason didnt usually liked to let himself worry about what others thought of him.
Be who you want and dont worry about what others think, because those that it bothers dont matter and those that matter it doesnt bother.
Mason found a dark blue button down shirt and a black blazer. He rolled the sleeves of the blazer up to mid fore arm and then grabbed a pair of black fitting jeans. checking himself out in the mirror he turned each side making sure everything looked nice. He grinned, satisfied with his choice. Blue was one of his favorite colors to wear mostly because he liked how it made his blue eyes stand out especially with his recent hair change. He had been wanting a change from his usual light brown color so he went with black. He actually quite liked it and his skin tone wasnt too bad with it. If it werent so dark out he totally would have added a pair of sunglasses to his outfit, but he figured next time.
It didnt take long to get to club G. Mason had never met Rachel but her picture showed she would be blond and quite attractive, then again that probably was about half the population at the club. His best bet was searching for Benjamin. He at least had seen him before and now that it was brought to his attention he did recall even talking to him a couple times while he checked out some books. He felt like a complete moron for not having remembered that. Really where was his brain tonight.
He searched the crowd hoping they hadnt gone in yet. It seemed like there was quite the crowd at the club tonight and he knew itd be hard to find them. Just as he was about to give up and wait til he got inside his eyes landed on benjamin. He stood in line behind two girls and he looked bored. Laughing lightly he made his way over touching a hand to the others shoulder lightly sos not to spook him but to get his attention. Hey he said. Starting to think i wasnt going to find you in this crowd. he grinned dropping his hand and looking around for the possibility of recognizing rachel. you wouldnt happen to know first hand what this girl looks like do you? her picture wasnt very... frontal.. i mean.. you know.. he waved his hand a bit and laughed lightly. yeah... anyway... you clean up nice he teased lightly with a friendly smile, wink, and a small nudge to his arm with his elbow as he crossed it casually over his chest. He of course didnt mean anything bad about it, Benjamin if he recalled seemed to look nice in whatever he wore then again hes never really seen him in what he might consider his grub clothes or something, but benjamin had those kinds of looks most people were attracted to and could probably pull off a potato sack and still look good. He did look good tonight though with the outfit he was wearing. He looked him over in a not so obvious way, he didnt want to freak him out thinking he was coming on to him or something. Tonight was about hanging out and meeting new friends... outside of the school. tonights going to be fun... he added nodding . as long as you two play nice he teased lightly again poking his chest playfully. but im sure it wont be a problem. you guys seem pretty good natured he offered a light smile

Rachel smiled happily at her phone screen. Maybe it was because she was always a little ball of sunshine or maybe because being here was not all that bad as she thought it was. Sure there were some mean people here but Rachel had figured out just to not listen to them. She would just hop into her happy place and maybe if the guy that was mean to her was hot, she would picture him naked. This was the mind of Rachel. It was pretty much the mind of a twelve year old but possessed qualities of a sexually active woman, or so it seemed.
This whole situation gave her hope. Maybe this whole being here at the institute was actually going to be some what fun. Yeah, situations like these were however you made them out to be and look at her. She was going out with two guys who she just met on the chat. Rachel stopped for a second and giggled. That sounded bad. She just met these guys online and she was heading out to see them. She never did believe in the stranger danger when it came to guys around her age and did not seem sketchy. Oh the life of a woman. You could never be too careful about where you go and who you hang out with.
She was going out tonight, going out clubbing. It had been forever since she was out partying. Ever since that fateful night and a DUI in remembrance, Rachel had kept away from the partying scene. Here she was though, in a completely different surrounding and new opportunities. Who knew maybe one of the guys she was hanging with had pot too. Then again, she thought that that may be a bit of a stretch. Everyone here was really strict and seem to never have any fun here.
Going out tonight was all exciting. She had packed a few dresses just in case of something like this happening. Nothing too formal but clubbing dresses for sure. It all depended on which color she wanted. She ruled out the black and red dress figuring they were just a tad racy for a first night. Then she settled on a darker blue dress that she knew hugged her body nice. Slipping that on and a pair of heels she was ready to go. She never wore too much makeup, a hint of eyeliner here and a dash of mascara there, finishing up with a clear lip gloss. Though this time she added a peach colored lipstick to her gloss.
Rachel had to ask for directions to get to this Club G. She was still relatively new and even then she had no freaking clue where she was going. She did feel like an idiot after finding it. Rachel pretty much walked straight to it. She walked right into the doors with out complication, always a nice thing. She began to scan the floor looking for anyone that look remotely familiar like the two guys in the chat. She thought she saw one but as she turned him around her smile flipped upside down into a sneer. "You are totally not Benny Boo." Rachel said as she walked away. Then she thought she spotted a Mason and ran up to a guy, but alas, it had not been him.
She began to think that maybe they ditched her, like a cruel initiation thing she had to do with the cheer squad. She looked around and as she was about to mutter obscenities she saw Mason. She knew it had to be him. She messed with her blonde hair a little bit before rush walking up to them. She hugged Mason first cause he was the person that caught her eyes first. "Mason there you are, flower!" Rachel said before giving him a final squeeze. Before Benjamin could stop her from doing anything she wrapped her arms around him. Her hug did not last as long as Mason's did but it was enough for her. "Benny.. I mean Ben I am so glad to see you to! I thought you guys ditched me." Rachel laughed blinking several times. "Good thing you didn't cause I don't know what I would do with myself if you guys did. Guess I would have to hunt you down and figure out something" Rachel said, trailing off some. "But oh well we are here and we's gonna partaaay!" Rachel said as she put her hands up for a second. "Where are my manners, how are you two doing tonight? Rachel asked, head tilted to the side. They were obviously happy to be here with each other, or at least Rachel hoped. She looked at both of them and smiled widely knowing that their night was going to get interesting.

i just wanna run talking I'm repeating Myself, my words lost all meaning
Mason was the first to approach him. Ben didn't mind Mason. Well-- technically he didn't mind Rachel, but she was a little harder for him to speak to. He was surprised that he responded well to the hand on the shoulder bit. Normally Ben didn't like for people to touch him, especially people he didn't know well. Ben drew in a deep breath and shrugged with a smile. "I've never really paid attention to her in person. Something makes me think that she will make her presence known." Actually, Ben was more than sure that Rachel would probably announce herself with a huge scene that would make him so uncomfortable. Benjamin licked his lips, moving forward with the line. "Thanks, you clean up pretty nice too." Ben replied to Mason's comment about how well he cleaned up.
Ben didn't think much about Mason's comment. He didn't think it was out of ordinary for a guy to compliment another guy, though he knew that some people would take it the wrong way. "You're the most badass looking librarian I have ever seen." He said with a smirk as the line moved further up. Ben was glad to finally be getting close to the entrance club. He was willing to bet that if he were some bumbling airhead who had a hot pair of legs, that he would get in a LOT faster than he was at the moment. Of course, Benjamin didn't have such luck. When Mason spoke again Ben turned to face him, only to be poked in the chest. He looked away with a trailing laugh. "Yeah, well if she will play by the rules, then I will play nice." He added as he shrugged again. Benjamin was a nice guy, despite the front that he liked to put up. He just wasn't cut out for this army stuff giving that he wasn't really all that harsh of a man. In fact-- Ben wasn't much of a man at all.
The line eventually made it inside. Benjamin looked around the room, wanting to be ready for whatever would happen to him. He stayed close to Mason. Benjamin wasn't about to be taken by surprise on anything. Luckily, the first to be approached was Mason. Ben took a moment to study the girl who had taken so nicely to getting on his nerves. Really, Rachel was not a bad looking girl, not in that tight dress she was wearing. Benjamin looked away, hating the fact that he was a guy at that moment. Why the hell did 90% of his thought processes have to be directed toward sex? Benjamin calmly reminded himself that he was technically still married and that he really shouldn't be looking so soon.
As Rachel wrapped her arms around him, Benjamin squirmed a bit. Her hug on him didn't last as long as it had on Mason. It wasn't that Ben was offended, it was that he was glad he didn't have to be in that awkward state for too long. He cringed at the name Benny, but gave her a chance since she changed it to Ben. Ben was about to say something along the lines of maybe he should have ditched, though he quickly withdrew that statement as Rachel added the hunting down portion. Ben pursed his lips and narrowed his eyes as he looked at her. Rachel seemed to change paces faster than he could keep up with. "I guess if I'm not ready to party, I'm going to have to be soon, huh." He said in reply to her question about how they were. "So I guess that means I'm about to be doing just fantastic."
Ben took a glance toward Mason, "What about you, man?" Ben threw the man in there simply to make himself sound a little more masculine. He could get a little paranoid around other guys because other guys were the fastest at pointing out that he sometimes acted like a girl. Benjamin liked the beat to the music. It made him wonder just how this was going to play out. Ben already wondered if he might be the third wheel in this experiment. After all, Mason's hug had lasted longer. tagged ( rachel/mason ) words ( 0726 )

Mason laughed lightly when Ben said that he was pretty sure that Rachel would make her presence known. Honestly Mason had to agree. He should have thought of that in the first place. Just talking to Rachel you could tell she was the kind of person that was out there. She was loud, well not necessarily vocally, but in presence, and he just couldnt picture her being this meek little thing that they had to search out. Mason moved up with him as the line moved. He smiled at him when he said he cleaned up nice as well. Well thanks Benjamin. he told him. Didnt want to look like a homeless person next to you two. he said with a light tone.
Mason laughed as ben added he was the most bad ass looking librarian hed ever seen. well I certainly hope so. I went through wondering which look i should go for. I couldnt quite get the old rickety look down and I just didnt have enough boob and lips for the young innocent yet once the glasses and hair was down cougarish librarian. Although I was really hoping I could go for that one... but i guess badass isnt so bad..he smirked back at him. Mason didnt find himself to be a super funny person, but he usually didnt try to be anything really. He just was what he was. He didnt expect people to laugh at what he said or be moved by anything or interested for that matter. If they did they did if not well no problem.
He laughed lightly and nodded as they moved up. well Im sure itll be okay. If it helps you dont really look like a benny. he told him. Girls are just weird with ... 'cute' nicknames like that. Do you drink at all? Maybe after a few if she does start to call you that it wont bother you so much. Not saying it shouldnt just... well im not exactly sure where Im going with that. Kind of sounds horrible no matter how i put it. he shrugged.
The line finally moved up and mason made his way inside with Ben. He reached out taking a hold of Bens sleeve as the crowd kind of pushed them around a bit, not bad, just it was really packed at the beginning right at the beginning with everyone going in and figuring where they wanted to go. Once they were in a little less of a packed area he let go of his sleeve stopping to give a look around. It didnt take long though before who they were looking for found them. Masons eyes widening a bit as arms wrapped around him, but then he relaxed his own arms encircling the thin body of the girl that was hugging him.
Mason had to chuckle at her words. Mason really wasnt bothered by anything anyone wanted to call him even if flower totally made him sound like a dainty girl or.. gay. As long as the names werent meant in a malicious way he was okay. Hey there rach. You look amazing he said with a friendly smile and then let go when she pulled back to move over to ben. He watched as she greeted him glad she changed her name back to ben. He really didnt want one of them to be uncomfortable or upset about something when they were supposed to be having fun. Mason crossed his arms casually a smile on his face as he listened. Rachel seemed like a really nice girl, funny too. And she honestly did look great in the blue dress she wore. Mason looked down at his feet then back up at the two wondering what could possibly come out of this night.
He wondered if maybe they might turn into the two kind of people that were only bothered with each other because they had this weird sexual tension between them. Or maybe they would just end up as really good friends, or just those fun kind of friends like on ICarly with that blond girl and the boy. He had seen a couple episodes once and he could completely see that as ben and Rachels relationship. Then again maybe theyd have the type of relationship that hyde and jackie had from that 70's show. They always disliked each other though had a tolerant friendship and then several season later ended up hooking up. He wasnt sure. Either way he just wanted everything to turn out okay. He had a good feeling about the feel of their small group. Perhaps a new Three musketeers friendship. That thought made him smile more. Mason knew he was probably being very childish right now with that thought, but he really wanted some friends. It had never bothered him before as much as he realized being so far away from everything he knew, that he just wanted people he could hang out with and talk to that actually knew who he was.
His attention was brought back when Ben addressed him. His brows shot up Hm? oh.. ahah yeah Im great. Come on lets do what .. clubbers do. he said. Drinks? then dancing yeah? he asked.

Rachel stood there slightly rocking her hips as the guys took everything in that was Rachel. She was definitely handful and a half. "Aww Mason your hugs are like love! Rachel said happily. It was nice to have a warm, comforting hug even if Mason was kind of a stranger. She was glad that Ben did not seem too offended by her hug. It would have bothered the hell out of her if she had not done it. "Sorry Ben, I just love hugs. Rachel said as she bit the lower left of her bottom lip. Her smile only grew more when Mason complimented her. "Why thank you, Mason. I agree I mean look at these!" Rachel said, slightly grabbing her lady lumps. "They are so good looking. Hell, I'd do myself" Rachel laughed as she placed a hand on her face, her blonde hair covering the rest that was not shielded by the palm of her hand.
"But my god you guys look good to! I mean I think you guys might be the hottest guys in the club" Rachel said looking around. Rachel bit her lip again as she had called him Benny. She was really trying not to call him that. It was just he was a cutie and Benny Boo was just so awesome. He did not like it though so she would refrain from it. "Sorry I meant to say.. yeah" Rachel said looking at Mason. She did wonder how her and Ben were going to get along. She and Mason were going to get along fabulously for sure. He was pretty laid back and seemed to be amused by Rachel and her actions.
Ben was the one she was worried about. What if he did not like her? She wanted him to like her. She wanted everyone to like her. Obviously that was not going to happen. One of the things she hated most in life was rejection. Many times she acted like a crazed maniac when people reject her, other times she gets all sad. It really just depended on her mood and the person that was denying her. In normal Rachel fashion, she changed subjects like they were going out of style. She always wanted to be busy chatting. This was just her way of dealing with it.
"You are not ready to party, Ben? Oh we will get you in the partying mood for sure! Though I am glad to hear you are fantastic" Rachel said with a little wink. Rachel listened along as Ben asked Mason how he was. Rachel was also glad to hear that Mason was doing great. "HAH you sound like Tony the Tiger.. III'MMM GRREAAT! Rachel interjected before biting her lip again. "We are all gonna have some good times, I tell you," Rachel said. She placed either hand on a guy's shoulder. "Mason I think this is going to be a goof friendship! And Ben my dear, I think the same thing... you are just going to have to live with me cause you are stuck with me! Rachel laughed clenching their shoulders slightly. YES MASON! That sounds like a wonderful idea! Lets be party people! Clubbing like this is the last night of our lives," Rachel said, her blue eyes looking upon the men before her.

i just wanna run talking I'm repeating Myself, my words lost all meaning
Something was strange about the situation. Ben never imagined that he would be standing in a club with a librarian and a mildly attractive girl. Never would he be in this position in Los Angeles. Ben could remember specifically the nights when he would get an invite to go hang out with his friends and shoot a new video-- but he would have to turn them down because Jessica would want him to stay in. A lot had been sacrificed when he had married Jessica. Ben found himself frowning at the very reason that brought him to Griffin.
Jessica. This night was supposed to be about relaxing and forgetting about the past. He was supposed to be able to enjoy himself with friends and get over the fact that he just needed to atone for his sins. Ben just needed to go one night without thinking about his daughter and how she had been under his care when she had suddenly passed away. Ben shook the thoughts out of his head as he heard Rachel say that he was stuck with her.
Ben shook his head, raising an eyebrow. "woah woah you mean I get no choice?" He said as if he were offended. A softer part of Benjamin was glad to hear that there was someone in the world who was willing to stick by him for a little while. Ben glanced toward where her hand rested on his shoulder and moved his other hand up to cover hers, removing her hand from his shoulder. "I believe I will start with drinks for sure." He said as he began to move toward the bar. The bad thing about Ben starting out with alcohol was that he knew he didn't have much of a tolerance. Sure, he could make it through a few beers, but Ben is the kind of guy who can easily get messed up off just a little bit of vodka (which is exactly what Ben asked for). He leaned against the bar, wondering if the other two would do the same. Benjamin had every intention of getting drunk.
After a couple of shots, Ben turned to face the other two with a smirk. "Well, you two? Do I have to have all the fun or are you going to join me?" He asked boldly. Benjamin crossed his arms over his chest, trying to will himself to cross that line between reality and craziness. He was sure that he would want to remember the night... it was the past he wanted to get rid of. Ben laughed, turning back to the bar and motioning for another round. "Screw the nickname thing tonight." He said with a wave of his hand. Benjamin wasn't thinking clearly about what he was saying. He wasn't even sure that he had said what he had said. Opening the door to nicknames would open the door to a thousand other things as well and Ben wasn't sure he was ready to accept the things that would invite. Benjamin pressed his lips together as he picked up a shot glass and held it between his thumb and pointer finger.
Benjamin raised the glass to his lips and tossed back the shot before sitting the glass down hard on the bar. "I need someone to be ready to dance in about five minutes." He said, a serious look on his face, though his tone joking. Benjamin had a tendency to be a little more loose when he was drunk. In fact, Ben would probably act a little pervy and childish toward both of them. Benjamin drew in a deep breath, attempting to slow down his pounding heart which seemed like it was in sync with the music. tagged ( rachel/mason ) words ( 0626 )

Mason laughed when she said his hugs were like love. Love huh... sounds nice. I wish i could hug myself now.he grinned. You wanna to feel this love ben? he said holding his arms out a bit and winked at him, joking of course though if ben wanted to play along and say yes then he would hug him. He wasnt against hugging or physical contact at all, so it was all good. His brows shot up when she agreed with his comment, though it wasnt that part that had his brows shooting up like that, it was the actions that followed. Hed never really met a woman as open as she was she reminded him a lot of god he didnt even know, but as she grabbed her breasts saying they looked good and that shed do herself if she could he couldnt help but smile and even chuckle a bit. She had an odd charm about her, but it was refreshing in the sense that hed never really met someone like her before. Its unfortunate you cant. Probably be interesting to see that.he stopped a moment realizing that totally made him sound like a pervert, but shrugged it off.
mason pressed a flat palm to his chest. Well thanks pretty lady. Awful flattering, but Id have to completely agree. We are some sexy people right here, probably the sexiest group in this entire club. People are going to stare with jealousy and envy. he laughed lightly. mason nodded as her excitement continued on with the night ahead of them. Yes.. friends definitely. all of us.he said patting ben on the back and rubbing her shoulder.
He studied his club mates. Rachel seemed to like to make herself simple and fun loving. Someone who enjoyed having fun and doing what they can to keep things from being serious. Ben on the other hand he definitely had something he was holding tight inside himself. He could see it in the way he held himself just slightly separate from the group as well as how his eyes seemed to change when he went off in himself. Everyone had things in their past and bens seemed to be one of those pasts that werent that nice to him. He felt for the guy and he hoped that Ben will be able to gain support and friendship in not only him but rachel too. He was certain it would help ben in many different ways.
mason followed ben towards the bar as he got himself a couple of shots already. woah buddy, way to get the hit up on us.he grinned. come on rach.he said ordering them both a couple shots to catch up with Ben. You dont have to tell me twice.he downed his two shots and then followed ben with another. At least the positive thing about alcohol was that things stopped mattering and it seemed like that ws starting already. Ben was calling off the ban on nick names which he knew would make rachel happy, then she wouldnt have to watch herself.
At the mention of dancing mason got them all a shot this time. come on guys.. to a good time.he said holding his shot up in a cheers kind of way and then downed it slamming it onto the bar though not hard enough to break it. He got up then and grabbed a hold of the other two's sleeves. we're all going to dance. he announced. Mason liked dancing. He wasnt too bad at it either though he wasnt able to get out much and dance, so he was going to take advantage of this opportunity. He led them out to a good spot letting go of them so they could move freely as he started to move to the music near to them so that they could kind of dance as a group.

Rachel could not have guessed she would be here tonight. Still not able to fathom that there were people here who wanted to have fun. She was not going to think about it anymore because she did not want to jinx herself. That would suck to have this new found thing get ripped from Rachel's little hands. "That would be interesting wouldn't it? Doing yourself. That would be... weird. " Rachel said as her own grin grew with Mason's. She thought it was funny and she was glad to see that someone else did to.
Ben did not seem to acknowledge her little joke which she even knew would happen. It was just, she would have liked him to laugh. Come to think of it she had never seem him laugh. This troubled her some and her head tilted slightly from being in thought. Due to popular belief, she did think, and she would often get lost in it as well. She believed that that whole "if you get lost in thought than you don't think too much" quote was complete bull sh*t.
"Aww you called me a pretty lady." Rachel said, kind of surprised that Mason said it. It was nice to hear that you were pretty even by a friend or a stranger in passing. It just made your day that much nicer. Like if wore a sexy bra underneath your clothes you always felt so much more confident about yourself or at least that was what happened with Rachel. "I totally have to agree with you" Rachel laughed slightly. As Mason rubbed her bare shoulder Rachel beamed her smile at him.
Rachel followed Mason and Ben to the bar and looked at everyone who was drinking. Here she was again, in the same position in a way that brought her here. She had not touched alcohol really ever since her DUI. Of course it was tempting to just go for that liquor, but she would practice some type of self control. Maybe it will give her some type of respect with the guys, probably not. She was not looking for respect actually but something else. Rachel watched as Ben took down those drinks like it was nobody's business. She had not placed him as a drinker but here he was, drinking. It was then that she would watch Ben drink and question if there was something else. Why was he so guarded? She had wondered this for quite some time after meeting him but she was not going to ask.
uggghh YEAH! of course we are going to have fun!" Rachel said looking at Mason but then back to Ben. "Screw that nickname thing?" Rachel asked. It took her a second longer and her mouth into an 'o' formation. "I getcha, Ben." Rachel said. She took to her shots that were handed to her like candy. She could hold alcohol well. All the guys she hung out with were always impressed how she could handle to much. Even for her little 5'5 frame she could keep up with just about any guy. If it were acceptable, Rachel would have totally out it on her brag sheet in school Hey! It was a big skill for her.
"Wow! Dance really? Rachel said after popping a shot into her mouth. He was always so serious even when he was drunk. Rachel could not understand this but looked at Mason as he spoke. "So let's dance! Rachel said in a louder voice. She was happy that they all were getting a long though. Mason seemed to be the glue to the whole dancing thing. Rachel took one final shot Mason led them both out to the dance floor. Rachel looked around at the people surrounding them. She smiled widely and began to move her own hips. She was a pretty good dancer and she was never told that she wasn't. Group dancing was a common thing that Rachel had done back at home. She pretty much lost all track of her thought and just succumb her body to the music. She looked at the two other guys who were dancing too. The night was young and they had the whole thing to blow.

i just wanna run talking I'm repeating Myself, my words lost all meaning
There was something about the way Rachel acted that made things seem okay. Ben didn't know how to feel about that. Things weren't supposed to be okay. It was easy for Benjamin to live life at the shell he was. Benjamin could fake his day with the best of them and come out smiling with a frown on the inside. This would be one night where Ben would have to do that. He would make it through the night, but he would have to fake it. Of course, Ben wouldn't have even attempted to come had he thought that he might hold things back. Benjamin heard the playful banter between the other two, but he was too within himself to think about it. It helped after he had a few shots in him. At least with the shots he would be able to focus on the people that he was there with instead of bringing down the mood with his inability to act cool in social situations.
Benjamin laughed at Mason's comment probably more than he should have. The comment wasn't as funny as Benjamin seemed to make it look. Oh Mason, you funny boy. I would never think of getting the hit up on you. Ben watched as the other two caught up to him in amount of drinks. He smirked as Mason took his shots. Ben studied Rachel's reaction and sensed a slight hesitation. Ben looked at Rachel, confused as she didn't take the opportunity to call him a nickname. He had thought for sure that if he gave her the open door that she would walk right through. Ben quickly licked his lips and looked away. He didn't know if he had said something wrong. Ben thought he sensed Rachel's hesitation lighten up. He watched her take each shot as if she were drinking water and wondered if it was right to be building this night on shots.
Another couple of shots found their way into Ben's system. Ben was beginning to feel a little antsy, eager to move and just get his mind racing. Luckily Mason and Rachel seemed to be right there with him after a couple of shots. He followed Mason to the clearing in the dance floor. Ben had never really been too good at individual dancing, though he was excellent at slow dancing. Not much to Ben's surprise, Rachel was the first to really get going. He watched her a moment, keeping to himself a little longer until he was sure that it was safe to join in. Ben watched her hips sway in the beat of the music. Sure, it was easy for girls. All they had to do was sway their hips in a less than innocent way and it was dancing for them. Guys had it tough. Ben looked to Mason for some moral support before he finally looked down, laughed, and shook his head. He might as well just join Rachel and make the night a fun night.
Ben began to let his body move to the music. After he got in the groove of it, the dancing came easy to him. It took Ben a little bit realize that no one in the club cared if he was a good dancer or not because they were all focused on just having a good time. tagged ( rachel/mason ) words ( 0568 )

Mason laughed and nodded. It would be .. weird.he said. Good thing you cant actually do that huh. he said and then had to laugh again when she pointed out that he had called her a pretty lady. well of course.. is because you are. he said. She was definitely attractive and she clearly knew that. It was nice though her confidence he could imagine anyone that might not be as confident feeling confident when around her.
Mason noticed the hesitation she had with the drinks. He felt bad for buying her drinks he should have asked her instead of just assuming. He felt bad, he didnt normally like assuming things of people but she seemed liek the party type that would drink. He would apologize to her later about it. At least he knew now not to do that with her. She seemed to fall right into it afterwards though and he wondered briefly if she had been battling some kind of alcoholic problem and he just gave her the fuel to get back into it. It was a little late now, but he would keep his word to himself. He would apologize and never do it again.
He grinned at bens words and shoved him playfully and lightly. sure sure.he laughed lightly. When they were done with their shots for the moment and out on the floor he changed his moves to go in time with both rachel and then to work with bens as well. He liked group dancing, and rachel was already grabbing a few eyes as well as ben. They were both very attractive and add dancing to it. Well that was just.. killer. He laughed some as they danced. You guys got moves.he said. HOnestly this was the most fun hed had in so long he almost didnt want it to end.
Mason brushed his hair back already feeling the heat from the dancing bodies, the lights, as well as his own excertion causing sweat. He normally wasnt a big sweater but it was a pretty packed place, adding extra heat all around. The alcohol definitely wasnt helping any. Mason decided to forget about his sweat worries, this was about having fun besides he knew he wasnt the only one that would be sweating it was a perfectly normal thing. He grinned at the other two making sure they were all enjoying themselves.

"Oh stop it, Mason. You are making me blush more than have I already been with you studs," Rachel said. There was a time to be confident but at this time she was a bit humble. She kind of turned away in attempt to rid the color rising in her cheeks. The funny thing about her blushing was that she never did it around like strangers, just friends. Granted Ban and Mason really were not friends as of yet, seeing as they have only met just this once. When you meet people though that just automatically click they usually go on to be your best friend. Then there of course are the times that that happens but the person ends up being creepy and seems to always be reaching you, that person is really creepy, and not the good kind of creepy.
Ben laughed at what Mason commented on. Rachel giggled along like she had been involved in it. "Isn't Mason funny? You both are funny. It is so awesome. Rachel said her eyes widening some. At times when she talked, her eyes did widen when trying to emphasize something. It was just one of her quirks. She took in the shots, they had a kick to them definitely, but it was not as if she was inexperienced in drinking. Maybe it should have caused concern how easily they seemed to wash down her throat. Alcohol tolerance was is cause of it, but it did not mean she was not entirely immune to the alcohol. After some there was a slight buzz coming on, but it was not too prominent as of yet. She had not noticed that in fact, Mason did show some type of concern, but it had been subtle and went out of sight and out of mind for her.
Mason began to bring them out to the dance floor. Rachel followed behind along with Ben. She smiled at him, hoping that it would rise a smile out of him. "Why so serious?" Rachel asking him. She knew that Mason also had noticed the serious tones in his voice and actions prior to the alcohol. Who knew Ban could actually get along with people like Mason, let alone Rachel. It was nice to see that he was indeed versatile with his friends though. It was pretty much out a few feet shy of the middle of the dance floor where they found their place. Rachel was of course the one to lead the trio.
Her hips swayed as she knew the guys were watching. It had only taken her milliseconds to get into that zone, the loose zone. COME ON, GUYS! Rachel said, encouraging them to dance. To her awe, it was Ben who joined next. YEAH BOOOOII! Rachel exclaimed, bumping her hip into his and laughing. This was indeed her element. She lost all of her inhibitions, or well the slightest ones she had, and just danced. Rachel smiled back at Mason as he began to dance. She swung her hip over to Mason and bopped him on his own hip, laughing again. "ohh guys you know you look likes you gots some people who want to be all up in your grillz" Rachel said to them. She thought that they probably already noticed the people on the hunt for some good looking guys, but Rachel was a person who pointed out the obvious at times. Oh well though.

i just wanna run talking I'm repeating Myself, my words lost all meaning
Why so serious? Ben sighed at the question that he was asked. He wished that Rachel hadn't noticed, but he knew he was probably pretty obviously a killjoy at the moment. Ben glanced toward her, seeing her smile. He didn't answer her question out loud, but he did respond with a small smile and a light shrug. This was not the place or the time for Ben to be thinking about opening up that can of worms. If he were to even think about mentioning why he was so down in the dumps, then he knew he would regret it later. Rachel and Mason didn't need to know everything. They didn't need to know what was done.
Benjamin did not believe he had moves of any kind. Moves would imply that what he was doing was attractive, and Ben wasn't convinced. Still, this was his night to kind of try and chill out so that he didn't have to lay in the barracks and think so damn much. Ben decided that he was having fun at the moment, and to ruin that would be even more of a mistake and actually going out with the two of them. Ben felt like he couldn't be on more opposite ends of the spectrum from the two people he was with. It wasn't that Ben couldn't be fun or that he couldn't appear happy, it was that he was having a difficult week. Ben was having such a hard time keeping his private thoughts under lock and key. Of course, Ben would have that sort of problem.
When Rachel bumped her hip into his, it was obviously time for him to stop being all mopey. Ben actually let out his first actual laugh of the night. Rachel mentioning people wanting to "get up in their grilz", Ben looked up. The idea of someone watching him intently made him nervous. Banjamin rolled his eyes at Rachel, Whatever, they're just saying 'hey, look at that chubster trying to dance'. Ben stopped dancing momentarily to pinch at his stomach. There actually wasn't a lot there. Benjamin wasn't as fat as he always seemed to think that he was. Of course, this was yet another way that Benjamin tended to act like the stereotypical girl.I bet most of them are looking at you two anyway. The urge to dance left him. The thought of people thinking about him moving around like that just made him too nervous.
Still, the night was young and Benjamin didn't want to ruin it. Benjamin watched the other two dance with a smirk. He crossed his arms over his chest. I bet you two dance all the time He said, loudly as to say it over the music. Dancing makes my ass look too...eh. Unfortunately, though Ben had intended that to be said over music, he hadn't expected the music to come to an end. A few people behind Ben laughed and Ben hung his head with a slight groan. tagged ( rachel/mason ) words ( 0515 )

Mason nudged her lightly. maybe that color looks good on you. he told her as she looked away. Mason did tend to get into his flirting tangents and it was nice when it was easy to do. He always liked flirting whether it was coming from him or someone else, there was just something so light and enjoyable about flirting as long as it didnt get really out of hand. Mason laughed lightly. He wondered why it had taken a small island in order to find people like rachel and benjamin. the kind that made you feel good when you were around them. Hed been in a big city and not been able to but here it had seemed so easy.
Mason looked over at ben when rachel called him out for being serious. It seemed to work though as ben started to let loose and really just hang with them and laughed too. It was a really nice sound and mason thought that someone like ben should laugh more often. Should smile more often. He hated when people hurt and he wished he could take that away from them. He was glad for rachel there being able to get ben out of his shell a little bit. He wasnt as good at that as she was, but he couldnt imagine anyone being around rachel and not at least smile or laugh once. she just had that way about her and it was so nice and refreshing.
When she pointed out that people were checking them out he glanced around and then shook his head. oh no.. he said and his attention was brought to ben as he started in about how how they were probably making fun of 'this chubster'. OH shut up.. i have more fat on my body then you do. he laughed. you my friend.. are a sexy beast.' he told him. you and that fabulous ass of yours. he laughed again. how could he think that about his ass. he put a hand on his mouth a bit and shook his head feeling bad for bens possible embarrassment from having said that just as the music stopped causing people around them to hear and snicker at him. i have a feeling everyone has the same thoughts as me. way to get people to look at that ass of yours. he winked at him slinging an arm around rachel. dont you wish you had an ass like that. he nodded towards ben. his tone was very good natured not wanting ben to think he was being cruel about it.

Rachel smiled at Mason, a glow submerged from Rachel's rose toned cheeks. "I do like blue. It is my favorite color," Rachel said looking down at her dress. It may have been her favorite shade of blue actually. She figured it was natural to flirt with people. In ways it made Rachel think that they were compatible. The word compatible not meaning an actual relationship just mutual compatibility. Rachel had always heard the best type of friendship between a guy and a girl was three parts brother sister relationship one part sexual tension. Maybe flirting was in the one part sexual tension, it was a pretty good guess.
Rachel look at Ben with her smile happy face. Many people described her face as one similar to a cartoon character. Emphasized emotions was something Rachel did well. She wondered what it would be like if she ever got botox. Her mother had gotten botox in her face but she had always said it was for migraines. Rachel had never known her mother to get migraines and it was all too suspicious when she started noticing those wrinkles on her face. Maybe in a job that part of her jobs were her looks, it was then she decided to get a little boost in that area. Rachel sometimes wondered if she will ever feel the need to get injected. It was something she hoped to avoid, and would at all cost.
Rachel's face went from happy to in awe. Ben had replied to her with a simple smile. It may have not been much to someone else, but to see him smile, it was really great. "Yeah! There we go! And you got such a nice smile!" Rachel said truthfully. Guys with nice smiles was really nice. Some times they would have this really stupid smile on their faces, but Ben had a nice one as did Mason. What were the chances that two guys that she just met were fun to hang out with and had nice smiles. Rachel was still feeling the effects of the alcohol that they had just consumed and it was starting to make her get into that phase where everything was kind of numb to a certain extent. Her vision was slightly blurry but not to the point where she could not stand or dance. Nothing was seemingly wrong in her voice, she still talked as she would if she were completely sober.
Dancing was a fun activity to do with friends. With a combination of alcohol and music it was a full out fiesta. Rachel went into dance mode and watched the other two guys dance with her. She would laugh every so often and look up at either one of the with a grin. She had bumped purposely into Ben and Mason. Rachel had almost squealed when Ben laughed. He laughed, something Rachel began to think he was incapable of doing. Rachel turned to see the people looking. "Oh yeah they are, Mason! They are looking at you two hotties." Rachel said, continuing to dance before stopping all together when Ben spoke. "Oh you did not just roll your eyes at me!" Rachel said in a half serious tone. "You? chubster? My god you make me feel like Java the Hut" Rachel said to Ben. He was major skinny. It was not like someone feed this guy stat, but Ben was definitely more on the leaner side.
"He is a sexy beast isn't he, Mason? Rachel asked almost rhetorically. Of course Mason would agree he had just said it. "OMG I was about to say.... you ass is amazing. Just saying if you did not know" Rachel agreed with a deal with it shrug. She had expected Ben to retaliate against what they were saying and she was gearing up for him to say something else. "Ben.. let's be serious here since that is your 'expertise'. They are looking at you two. End of story," Rachel said. Rachel in that time had begun to dance again, she thought about stopping once more when Ben had, but then she thought she would psych him out even more. "Dude Mason, you are totally reading my mind tonight. I would kill to have a fine ass like his," Rachel nodded. The music had died down as Ben talked. He had been using the music as a cloaking device so that Mason and Rachel were the only ones that heard. Several people behind Ben laughed and that had pissed Rachel off. "Hey bozos, why don't you just go shut up and go take your non perfect asses somewhere else." Rachel said in her loud talking voice. It was normal for her to talk loudly but when she was mad her voice elevated just a tad more. Her smile was no that much of a smile anymore, more like she was ready to pop some bitch in the mouth and make them.
